The Role
We are establishing our new legal entity in Turkey to support our global flight operations and acquire our local operational license. We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated Office Manager to manage our Istanbul office, handle day-to-day administrative functions, and act as our local company representative.
This role combines physical office coordination, local authority representation, and occasional cross-functional administrative support. The workload varies and is often light, making it an ideal position for someone who values autonomy, a calm working pace, and predictable routine tasks. You will spend your days ensuring our physical office is compliant, handling administrative duties, and occasionally assisting our European teams with administrative tasks, local knowledge and translations.
Key Responsibilities
Office Operations & Administration: Manage day-to-day office routines, maintain the physical presence in our Istanbul office, handle incoming/outgoing mail (scanning and forwarding consumer cases), manage deliveries, and welcome visitors or local authorities.
Local Representation: Act as the official on-site representative for local Turkish authorities, company visitors, or occasional walk-in customer inquiries.
Localization & Translation: Provide translation and localized administrative support for Customer Care and Commercial departments as needed.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work independently on local tasks while collaborating virtually with our international teams across Europe and beyond.
Requirements
Location & Work Status: Must be located in (or willing to commute to) Istanbul and hold full legal work authorization in Turkey.
Languages: Native/fluent proficiency in Turkish and strong working proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Technical & IT Skills: Comfortable with modern digital tools, basic IT troubleshooting, sending emails, managing spreadsheets, and participating in virtual video conferences (Google Workspace / MS Office).
Work Style: Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in an office setting with minimal daily supervision.
Experience: Prior experience in office administration, customer care, or travel operations is a plus, but motivated candidates meeting the statutory certification requirements are welcome to apply.
Mandatory Statutory Qualifications
To meet mandatory Turkish regulatory compliance requirements, candidates must hold at least ONE of the following official certifications (applications without one of these will be automatically disqualified):
Tourism Education Qualification: Graduation document (vocational high school, associate degree, or undergraduate degree) in Hotel Management and Tourism.
Ministry Guide Certificate: An original or certified Tourist Guide Certificate issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Information Officer Language Certificate: An official TÜRSAB-issued Foreign Language Proficiency Certificate for Information Officers.
