Accountant (PSP)

The team
Etraveli Group, due to the fact that, is constantly growing and developing its activities in the global market, is looking for an Accountant to support the Payment Service Providers (PSP) Team located in the Athens’ office. The Accountant will report to the PSP Team Leader, ensuring performance and high-quality standards.
The Role
You will:
Handle settlement reports and make sure that amounts are reconciled and posted
Collaborate with the Payment Cost control team to identify discrepancies and correct them
Perform monthly reconciliations and documentation on various merchant accounts
Handle invoices and cross check fees and VAT versus settlement reports
Support and perform tasks in month-end and year-end closing processes;
Support special projects and propose automations on current processes
Efficiently and effectively communicate in internal and external channels regarding deviations in cost, accrued vs actual
Support internal and external audit requests and provide sufficient clarification
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
Master course and/or relevant certification will be considered a plus.
Working Experience of 3+ years in an international organization within PSP, banking operations or treasury
Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and good understanding of financial statements.
Previous experience with PSP flows and settlements will be an advantage
Experience with complex payment flows, bank reconciliations, cash management and large data handling
Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (MS Dynamics, D365, SAP etc.)
Advanced MS Excel / G-Sheet skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
Fluency in English (verbal and written).
