The role
We're looking for a Senior Business Controller to join our Group Business Control team, someone who thrives in the space where finance meets business strategy, and who gets genuine energy from turning complex data into decisions that matter.
This isn't a back-office reporting role. You'll operate as a true business partner to senior stakeholders across the organization, shaping how the company understands its performance, allocates resources, and plans for what's next. You'll be expected to challenge assumptions, bring independent thinking, and drive insights that actually move the needle.
We're a team that's split across Stockholm, Uppsala and Athens so there is some travel involved. The environment is fast paced, constantly evolving, and full of new problems to dig into, that's what makes it exciting.
If you love ambiguity, thrive when the goalposts shift, and find your best work at the intersection of analytical rigor and commercial instinct, we want to talk to you.
What you'll do
Own financial reporting, forecasting, and deep-dive analysis across key areas of the business
Build and evolve financial models that give leadership a sharp understanding of performance and business drivers
Act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, proactively bringing insights, not waiting to be asked
Lead monthly closing activities and ensure financial transparency at group level
Drive strategic projects from the front, scenario planning, business cases, investment decisions
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that others might miss, and translate them into clear recommendations
Champion continuous improvement of our reporting infrastructure and BI tooling
Help shape how the team works, bringing structure and best practices as we scale
Who you are
5-10 years of experience in business control, FP&A, management consulting, or a high-paced analytical finance environment
A degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent
Genuinely at home in the grey zone between finance and business, you think commercially and act analytically
A track record of working independently and influencing senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity
Someone who doesn't wait to be told what to analyze, you spot the question before it's asked
Sharp Excel/Google Sheets skills and strong command of BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Genuinely curious about AI and how emerging tools can sharpen the quality and speed of financial insight
Energized (not exhausted) by fast-paced environments, shifting priorities, and new challenges landing in your lap
An exceptional communicator, you can walk a CFO through a complex P&L and a commercial lead through a financial model, without losing either of them
Why join us
A seat at the table, real visibility and influence at group level, working directly with senior leadership
Constant challenge, we move fast, the problems are real, and you'll never be bored
A collaborative, international team with colleagues across Europe who are sharp and good to work with
A culture that actively embraces AI experimentation, we encourage our team to push the tools and see what's possible
The chance to help shape how a global travel tech company is built, not just observed
Benefits
The culture at Etraveli Group embraces complexity and we like to keep the entrepreneurial spirit even as we grow into being a larger company.
