The Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our finance automation team. This role focuses on building automated analytical solutions that combine financial reporting, improve data accuracy, and generate actionable insights across revenue, costs, and operational performance. The ideal candidate is proficient in Python, SQL, enjoys improving processes through automation and can bridge finance and data analytics effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Analytics & Automation (Python & SQL - Focused)

-        Design and develop Python-based automation solutions for financial reporting,    reconciliations, and recurring analysis.

-        Build data pipelines, via Airflow, and analytical workflows to support revenue tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.

-        Clean, transform, and validate financial and travel-related datasets (bookings, payments, expenses, margins).

-        Identify inefficiencies in finance processes and implement automated improvements.

Data Analysis & Business Insights

-        Perform in-depth analysis of financial trends, revenue performance, cost drivers, and operational metrics.

-        Support financial planning and decision-making with data-driven insights.

-        Create ad hoc analysis for finance leadership and stakeholders.

Reporting & Visualization

-        Develop and maintain dashboards and reports

-        Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across financial reports.

-        Translate financial data into clear visual insights.

Collaboration & Data Enablement

-        Work closely with finance, operations, and data engineering teams to ensure timely data availability and automation success.

-        Contribute to improving data quality, documentation, and analytics best practices.

Requirements

-        Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

-        2-3 years of experience in data analytics, finance analytics, or similar roles

-        Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation (pandas, NumPy, scripting)

-        Advanced SQL skills for querying financial and operational data

-        Experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Looker, QlikSense or similar)

-        Good understanding of financial concepts (revenue, costs, margins, forecasting)

-        Familiarity with Git and basic Linux commands

-        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Nice to Have

-        Experience in the travel industry or banking

-        Familiarity with cloud data platforms

-        Experience with workflow automation tools (Airflow or similar)

-        Exposure to ERP or finance systems
